Sports Academies in Jaipur

Jaipur is well known as a home to several successful sports person. Rajasthan State Sports Council (Rssc) is the supreme authority in Rajasthan which overlooks all the activities related to sports development, establishment and maintenance of government sports academies, provision of funds for sports activities etc.

For nurturing the young talent it has established and maintained the following sports academies in Jaipur:

Government Sports Academies in Jaipur

Rajasthan State Sports Council runs some sports academies in Jaipur also in other states of Rajasthan for the promotion of sports like Football, Cricket, Hockey, and Athletics etc.

Boys Academy/Hostel

It was established on 18th July 2011. Based on the norms of the academy, a total of 35 students were selected among the invited ones for imparting training to these potential players. Among them 10 students were selected for athletics, 10 for archery and 13 for volleyball.  Since then, several eminent sports students from the academy have won medal at school and state level.

• Free education, training in sports and medical facilities.

Girls Academy/Hostel

Girl’s academy in Jaipur by Rssc was established in the year 2011. This academy was established to introduce young girls to the field of athletics. The academy nurtures the young female talent and has provided outstanding player in this field of sports. A total of 10 numbers of girls are trained and honed at the academy during a session.

Volleyball Girls Academy/Hostel

It was established in the year 2011 by Rssc in Jaipur, for providing high level training to the girls in the field of Volleyball. A total of 5 girls are selected every year for training.

Girls Basketball Academy/Hostel

Girls basketball academy was established by Rssc at Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur on 5th Sep. 2007. A total of 9 girls are trained each year in this academy.
