Jaipur film festival, the world’s fastest growing film festival, promotes movie makers and exchanges information, knowledge, ideas and culture between India and other countries in context of their social and cultural ethos. 

This is a five day festival that is conducted every year in late January or early February in Jaipur. Jaipur International Film Festival was launched in 2009 and JIFF trust is registered under act of Public trust act 1959 and under Devasthan Commissioner of Jaipur Khand office. Mr Hanu Roj, dedicating, knowledgeable and hard-working person, is the founder and one of the key peoples behind Jaipur International Film festival. The festival generally includes four categories of films such as short fiction film, feature film, documentary film and animation film.

 In order to be eligible for competition section, the short film and documentary film must be less than 45 minutes in duration and the animation film should be less than 30 minutes. The films in other language than English should be sub-titled or dubbed in English.

The authorities also give awards in various names including Golden Camel, Red Rose, Green Rose and Yellow Rose for best director, best film, film which gives best global message and upcoming film-with world premier respectively. The other awards include for best debutante director, best actor, best actress, best screenplay, best sound and editing and best cinematography and finally special Jury mention feature film.

Past Performances

2009: Jaipur film festival took a first step with participation of 3500 film lovers and film makers. A total of 148 international films including 58 short films and documentaries along with 2 feature films from 7 countries were shown.
2010: Around 10,000 film makers and film lovers attended the festival and 350 international films from 42 different countries were screened. It included 87 short films and documentaries and 2 featured films.
2011: More than 15,000 film makers and film lovers became a part of the festival as well as 144 short films, animation movies, featured films and documentaries from 67 different countries were screened.
